Hiring a private guide for a bespoke walk or trekking holiday means total flexibility for you.You choose when you want to go, how far you want to go and who you want to go with. GRADE 1 - Easy - An easy walk on pavement or well -maintained paths without stiles and some gates to go through. Please check the route for suitability for wheelchairs or pushchairs with the walk organiser e.g. riverside walk      read more

GRADE 2 - Difficult - A moderate walk in any setting with some difficult paths and there will be some walking up and down some slopes. may require walking poles for some of it.       read more

GRADE 3 - Hard - A more difficult walk, mainly on rough path or tracks, through fields or woods.There may be steep climbs, undulating terrain and some stiles and gates, will require walking poles for some of the walk. Not suitable for wheelchairs and unlikely to be suitable for pushchairs, check with the walk organiser, e.g. Striding Edge on Helvellyn.            read more

About Ken                          

Ken has been a mountaineer since 1978. He is passionate about promoting the benefits of outdoor adventure and making it available to all. He has climbed all over the world and has been on over twenty expeditions.   He is a member of the British Mountaineering Council (Bmc). The Alpine Club (AC), The Fell and Rock Climbing club (FRcc) and the Leeds MountaineeringClub (Lmc).
